Mainly all of the American manufactures, because we can't sell our American models over seas because the efficiency standards are much higher than ours.

    Your question is years ahead.

So far no strict GW standard applies to car manufacturer except maybe for Europe and California (future 120 and then 100g CO2/km in Europe).
In most countries, the regulation is essentially due to health concerns (CO, SOx, NOx emissions) or in order to conserve energy.

In this regard, US car manufacturer have a dangerous market positionning since they are in GW vulnerable segments (large inefficient cars). They lose generally business due to their fuel inefficiency and lack of inovation. Their only resort to sell is to call on patriotism which is a bad sign.

Manufacturers of small and efficient cars (German Japanese, French and Koreans) have definitely a brighter future.
This is especially the case since their TDI and hybrid technologies are compliant with CO2 reductions

Even Chinese cars are much more efficient than US brands.

Car manufacturers are NOT losing business due to global warming.

mylittlegirl - I see you like to wallow in the sorrows of others. Nice. Haha, look at all those factories closing. Haha, those people are losing their jobs. Oh, that's a riot.

Gm Ford and Damleir Chrysler. any company that banked it's future on big SUV's it takes years to develope a vehicle to full production, usually 5 year lead time unless it's just a rework. so their all scrambling now for their next cash cow, which is also why your seeing mass lay-offs

    In truth, none.

Any business being lost by auto maker because of fuel efficiency is because of the high price of gas.

I'm all for increased fuel efficiency in cars, but NOT because of global warming and the government should NOT have the authority to set standards.

If the American consumer wants better fuel efficiency standards, then they tell the car companies. I don't giving the government the ability to control the standards of an automobile was part of our Founding Father's plan.
